BMS and Inverter Matching

The battery-management system monitors charging and discharging and provides protection against abnormal operating conditions. The listed 100A discharge limit is critical when choosing an inverter or other high-current load.

Calculate the inverter’s DC current at the intended AC output and allow for efficiency losses, start-up surge and battery-voltage variation. Do not choose an inverter from the 100Ah capacity figure alone. The battery, BMS, cable, fuse, isolator and connections must all support the required current.

Charging Requirements

Use a LiFePO4-compatible solar controller, DC-DC charger or mains charger that can be configured within the battery’s voltage, current and temperature limits. The maximum listed charge current is 50A, and charging is specified from 0°C to 45°C.

Do not charge below 0°C unless current manufacturer documentation specifically permits it or approved low-temperature protection is present.

Runtime Planning

Nominal energy is 1,280Wh. Actual usable energy and runtime depend on the connected load, BMS operation, wiring losses, temperature, state of charge and inverter efficiency. Measure daily watt-hour use where possible rather than sizing only from appliance nameplate wattage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this battery run every 12V appliance?

No. Compatibility depends on each appliance’s current and energy demand, the battery’s discharge limit, wiring and charging support.

Can it be used for engine starting?

This product is listed as a deep-cycle storage battery. Do not use it for engine starting unless the manufacturer specifically approves that application.
