Solar Input Specifications
| Maximum PV input voltage | 55V DC |
|---|---|
| MPPT operating-voltage range | 17–36V |
| Maximum PV input current | 45A |
| Recommended PV input power | 700W |
| Solar charging mode | Buck MPPT |
Before connecting solar panels, calculate the complete array open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current. Both must remain within the controller limits under expected operating conditions. Do not select a solar array from wattage alone.
Vehicle and Battery Compatibility
The charger lists a 12V/24V starter-battery system input and a maximum generator input voltage of 32V DC. Its auxiliary-battery output is for a 12V bank. Confirm the vehicle alternator type, required trigger wiring, battery manufacturer's permitted charging current and the charger's selected battery profile before installation.
A 50A charger requires appropriately sized positive and negative cable, fuses near the batteries, secure terminations and suitable ventilation. Long cable runs and undersized conductors can create excessive voltage drop and heat. Professional installation by a qualified auto electrician is recommended for high-current vehicle systems.

Build a Compatible Dual-Battery System
Compare the full range of DC-DC battery chargers, then match the charger with a suitable lithium battery or AGM battery. If using solar input, confirm the exact panel voltage and current before selecting from our fixed solar panels or solar blankets.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can this charger use alternator and solar input?
It provides vehicle-generator charging and MPPT solar charging. Input behaviour and priority should be configured and installed according to the supplied manual.
Can it charge a LiFePO4 battery?
LiFePO4 is among the listed battery profiles. Confirm the battery manufacturer's maximum charging current and select the correct charger settings before use.
Can I connect a 700W solar array?
700W is the listed recommended PV input power, but the array must also remain within the 55V maximum PV voltage, 17–36V MPPT range and 45A maximum PV input current.
