Installation and charging

Before replacing an AGM or other lead-acid battery, confirm that the mains charger, solar controller, alternator-charging equipment, cabling and protection are suitable for LiFePO4. A physical drop-in fit does not automatically mean the existing charging system is compatible.

Compare compatible MPPT solar controllers and DC–DC chargers. When selecting a power inverter, calculate continuous DC current and start-up surge and keep demand within the 100A continuous and 300A five-second limits.
